PH coronavirus cases top 26,000 with 490 new infections

As of Monday, June 15, the Philippines' total coronavirus cases surpassed 26,000 with 490 new infections.

The Department of Health reported 10 additional deaths, raising the death toll to 1,098 and noted 298 recoveries, bringing total recoveries to 6,252.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated that around 2,200 cases still need validation by DOH.

Among new cases, 348 were fresh while 142 were late reports; most fresh cases originated from Metro Manila and Region VII.
