PNP chief orders police to prevent fiesta gatherings

PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar ordered police commanders to strictly monitor and prevent mass gatherings during the fiesta season.

Eleazar emphasized that despite being part of cultural traditions, celebrations and church activities are prohibited due to the ongoing COVID-19 threat.

Police officers will no longer issue warnings but will enforce existing health protocols including the ban on mass gatherings.
