Palace alarmed by illegal hospital for Chinese COVID-19 patients

Malacañang expressed alarm over the presence of an illegal medical facility catering to Chinese nationals allegedly infected with COVID-19 in Pampanga.

The underground hospital, located at Fontana Leisure Park, was raided by police and found to be operating without necessary permits from the Department of Health and Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Medical waste such as used syringes and tubes were also discovered in unsealed plastic containers during the raid.

The administrator and pharmacist of the underground hospital were arrested for violations of the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009 and the Medical Act of 1958.
