Cook Islands bans travelers from PH over coronavirus

The government of the Cook Islands has temporarily banned travelers from the Philippines due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

Assistant Secretary Eduardo Meñez of the DFA announced that people who traveled to the Philippines within the past 14 days will be denied entry into the Cook Islands.

In addition to the Philippines, the ban also applies to 13 other countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar have also imposed travel restrictions on individuals coming from the Philippines.

The DFA advises Filipinos planning pilgrimages to Israel and Palestine to postpone their trips due to similar travel restrictions in those regions.
