Comelec raffle for 156 party-list groups on Oct 18

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that 156 party-list groups will participate in an electronic raffle to determine their order on the official ballot for the 2025 midterm elections.

On October 11, Comelec en banc issued Resolution No. 11074, identifying eligible groups including 113 existing and 42 newly registered party-lists.

Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said that an additional group, Ang Tinig ng Seniors, secured a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) from the Supreme Court to join the raffle.

The electronic raffle will take place at 9:00 am on October 18 and will be livestreamed by Comelec, ensuring transparency in the process.

Comelec noted that participation is without prejudice to any TROs issued by the Supreme Court before finalizing the ballot face.
