68.4M Filipinos registered for 2025 elections

As of today, approximately 68.4 million Filipinos are registered to vote in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections, excluding around 1.3 million overseas Filipino voters.

This number marks a significant increase from the 65.7 million recorded in 2022 and is the highest since the 1992 elections.

The surge in voter registration reflects both population growth and improved efforts in voter enrollment, according to data compiled by Rappler.

Five provinces—Cavite, Cebu, Bulacan, Laguna, and Pangasinan—are key battlegrounds with over two million registered voters each.

Highly urbanized cities such as Quezon City, Manila, and Davao City also play crucial roles due to their large voter populations exceeding one million.

Despite the high number of registered voters, historical trends suggest that actual turnout may not exceed 90%, influenced by factors like political climate and voter enthusiasm.
