Comelec eyes hybrid format for 2022 election debates

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is considering a hybrid format for the 2022 presidential and vice presidential debates due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

Comelec Commissioner Marlon Casquejo stated during a media briefing that the debate could combine in-person attendance with remote participation, allowing candidates to participate virtually or have a virtual audience.
