PCG rescues stranded residents, animals in Cagayan, Isabela

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has been conducting extensive rescue operations in Cagayan and Isabela provinces affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

On Sunday, PCG rescued stranded residents in Alcala, Cagayan, but two individuals died.

In Tuguegarao City, the PCG also rescued animals left behind during evacuations.

As of Saturday, 40 out of 49 barangays in Tuguegarao were still flooded due to heavy rains.

The PCG sent an augmentation team from Ilocos Norte and deployed 120 personnel and 41 rubber boats for rescue operations.
