Classes, work suspended in areas hit by Nika, Ofel; landslide in Benguet

Classes and work have been suspended on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in several areas due to the impact of Severe Tropical Storm Nika, a landslide, local holidays, and preparations for severe tropical storm Ofel.

In Benguet province, Acupan Elementary School in Virac, Itogon, has suspended classes because of a landslide.

Pangasinan province declared a local holiday on November 13.

Isabela province ordered the suspension of all levels of education, both public and private, in Echague and Santiago City.

Quirino province suspended all levels of education and government work for two days starting from November 13 to prepare for severe tropical storm Ofel.

Classes and work have also been suspended on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in some areas due to the effects of Typhoon Ofel. Affected areas include Apayao province, Gonzaga, Cagayan, Batanes province, Bicol University, and Catanduanes province.
