Classes, gov work suspended in Luzon due to Tropical Storm Kristine

Classes have been suspended in several areas of the Philippines due to the effects of Tropical Storm Kristine on Tuesday, October 22, and Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Malacañang announced that classes in all levels and government work will be suspended across Luzon starting Wednesday.

Specific regions affected include Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Metro Manila, Mimaropa, Cordillera Administrative Region, Western Visayas, and Central Visayas.

Schools in Dagupan City, Aurora province, Angeles City, Cavite province, Laguna province, Rizal province, Albay province, and various cities in Metro Manila have also suspended classes.

The announcement advises private companies to leave the decision on suspending work to their discretion while essential services continue as usual.
