Class suspensions in northern Luzon due to Super Typhoon Julian

Class suspensions were imposed in several areas across Luzon for both Monday and Tuesday due to the impact of Super Typhoon Julian (international name: Krathon).

The affected regions include Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

Super Typhoon Julian was last spotted 205 kilometers west of Itabayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gusts up to 230 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued wind signals for various regions: Signal No. 3 for parts of the Babuyan Islands, Signal No. 2 for Batanes, Cagayan, and northern Ilocos Norte, among others, and Signal No. 1 for a wider area including most of Luzon.

Passengers and residents are advised to exercise caution and follow local advisories as Super Typhoon Julian continues to move towards the region.
