Clarkson-less Gilas loses tune-up to Mexico

Gilas Pilipinas lost their final tune-up game before the FIBA World Cup to Mexico by a score of 84-77 on Monday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Jordan Clarkson did not play in this match, but Gilas showed resilience early and led 51-51 at halftime.

However, turnovers plagued Gilas in the third quarter as Mexico took control with a 69-63 lead.

Despite pulling within five points late in the game, Gilas could not overcome Mexico's strong finish to secure their last win before the World Cup.
