CJ Cansino scores 16 points, helps Meralco win

CJ Cansino had his best game as a rookie in the PBA on Wednesday, scoring 16 points and hitting four three-pointers to help Meralco Bolts win against Terrafirma Dyip with a score of 107-91.

Coach Luigi Trillo praised Cansino's performance, noting similarities between him and veteran player Bong Quinto when the latter was younger.

Quinto also contributed 22 points in the game and expressed happiness at having someone like Cansino to share his experiences with, emphasizing the importance of mentorship within the team.

Cansino's improvement is seen as crucial for Meralco, who are now unbeaten in three games despite being without key players Aaron Black, Chris Newsome, and Raymond Almazan.

The team hopes that Cansino continues to grow and contribute more in future games, such as their upcoming match against Northport on Sunday.
