Cignal HD Spikers open PVL All-Filipino with victory over Akari

Cignal HD Spikers secured an opening victory in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference, defeating Akari with a score of 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-18 on Saturday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Vanie Gandler led Cignal with 19 points, while Roselyn Doria and Ces Molina contributed 16 points each; Riri Meneses added 13 points.

Coach Shaq delos Santos expressed that the team's goal is to win a championship after their victory against Akari.

Gandler highlighted her teammates' determination and unity throughout the game, contributing to their convincing win despite limited preparation time.

Cignal faces Galeries next on March 2, while Akari takes on defending champion Creamline on Thursday at PhilSports Arena.
