Choco Mucho wins tight 5-setter over Nxled

Choco Mucho extended its winning streak to five games in the PVL All-Filipino Conference with a narrow victory over Nxled, 25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-10, on Thursday at PhilSports Arena.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin praised Nxled's resilience and confidence despite Choco Mucho securing the win in a decisive fifth set, noting that Royse Tubino inspired her teammates with 'never-say-die' fighting words to push through with their comeback.

Sisi Rondina led all scorers with 23 points, while Isa Molde contributed crucial points late in the match to seal the victory for Choco Mucho.

Choco Mucho improved its record to 7-3 and solidified its hold on third place behind Creamline Cool Smashers (9-0) and Petro Gazz Angels (8-1), with Rondina highlighting her performance with 21 attack points, 19 excellent digs, and 10 excellent receptions.

The Flying Titans' fourth five-set match of the season showcased their ability to thrive under pressure, further boosting their chances in the upcoming quarterfinals.
