Cebu allows unvaxxed foreigners entry starting March 1

Cebu province has issued an executive order allowing unvaccinated foreign travelers entry starting March 1, contrary to national guidelines.

The order states that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated foreigners must present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure and undergo quarantine protocols upon arrival.

Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles stated the Inter-Agency Task Force will discuss Cebu's policy, which is not aligned with national rules.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia cited IATF Resolution 160-B in a meeting with consuls from South Korea, Japan, and China to align provincial policies with IATF guidelines for fully vaccinated foreign nationals.
