Gonzales: Cayetano will remain House Speaker if left to decide

Deputy Speaker Neptali Gonzales II said on Thursday that Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano will likely remain as leader of the House of Representatives if the chamber decides independently on the issue.

Gonzales highlighted Cayetano's extensive political experience, including roles as councilor, congressman, senator, and Senate Majority Leader, which have honed his leadership skills.

He also noted Cayetano's ability to establish smooth parliamentary relations with the Senate and coordinate closely with the Cabinet due to his previous role as foreign affairs secretary.
