DFA: 209 new cases among overseas Filipinos, total at 1,604

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported a significant increase in coronavirus cases among overseas Filipinos, with 209 new infections on Tuesday, April 28, bringing the total to 1,604.

Of these cases, 360 are from Asia Pacific, 454 from Europe, 333 from the Middle East/Africa, and 457 from the Americas.

The death toll rose by three to a total of 189, with most fatalities recorded in the Americas (107).

There are currently 996 patients undergoing treatment and 419 have recovered.
