Casares defends SEA Games triathlon title, eyes Asian Games

Fernando Casares defended his Southeast Asian Games title in men's triathlon on May 8, clocking 58 minutes and 33.5 seconds to win ahead of Indonesia's Rashif Yaqin.

Casares aims for a podium finish at the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou but acknowledges the high competition level.

Andrew Kim Remolino secured third place with a time of 59:53, while Kim Mangrobang won silver in the women’s triathlon after failing to claim her fourth consecutive gold.
