Tropical Storm Dante causes floods, landslides in Caraga

Tropical Storm Dante caused floods and landslides in Caraga Region on Tuesday.

Local government units activated emergency response units early on Tuesday to address the impacts of the storm.

As of 2 p.m., Dinagat Islands province's northern portion and Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands were under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2.

On Monday, PAGASA reported TS Dante was located 515 kilometers east northeast of Davao City with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/hour near the center.

OCD-13 issued a rainfall advisory for Surigao del Sur and other Caraga areas, warning of possible flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous regions.
