Canuto's OT shot sends NU to Final Four

Mayday Canuto hit the game-winning basket with 1.2 seconds left to secure National University's (NU) victory over the University of Santo Tomas in overtime, propelling NU into the UAAP Season 86 women’s basketball Final Four.

Despite starting with a 17-point lead, NU had to rely on Canuto's heroics to edge out UST 77-76.

Coach Aris Dimaunahan praised Canuto for her consistent hard work and dedication, while Karl Pingol led all scorers with 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
