Camp Aguinaldo on lockdown due to rising COVID-19 cases

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City is under lockdown due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

As of March 21, there are 870 active cases within the AFP, with a total of 7,342 recorded cases since the start of the pandemic, including 6,424 recoveries and 48 deaths.

The lockdown began on Sunday, March 21, after 83 new cases were reported from March 17 to 21.

AFP spokesperson Major General Edgard Arevalo stated that the lockdown will continue until the number of infections decreases and health conditions improve.

During this period, entry and exit are restricted for all personnel and workers in Camp Aguinaldo.
