Bukidnon LGUs suspend classes due to LPA

Classes and work were suspended in several parts of Bukidnon due to heavy rains caused by a low-pressure area.

Valencia City Mayor Azucena Huervas ordered preemptive evacuations in flood- and landslide-prone areas and suspended face-to-face classes at all levels.

Maramag Mayor Jose Joel Doromal also suspended work in government offices and recommended private establishments to temporarily halt operations for safety reasons.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a yellow warning level for some parts of Bukidnon but lifted it by Wednesday morning.

Despite the lifting of the warning, PAGASA advised that the province may still experience possible flooding and heavy rains.
