Gov’t keeps 'Build, Build, Build' funds intact for post-pandemic growth

The government will keep funds intended for its 'Build, Build, Build' infrastructure program intact during the pandemic.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei B. Nograles stated that these projects are crucial for jumpstarting economic growth after the crisis ends.

President Rodrigo Duterte called on the Finance department to generate additional funds as the initial P270 billion realignment under the Bayanihan law may not be sufficient.

Nograles noted that while the President has the authority to shift budget items to prioritize the pandemic response, no decisions have been made yet regarding specific infrastructure projects.
