Binibining Pilipinas announces P1 million prize for winners

The Binibining Pilipinas pageant announced on Friday that its 2024 winners will each receive P1 million, marking the largest prize in the pageant's 60-year history.

At a press presentation held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) unveiled two new crowns designed by jeweler Manny Halasan for this year’s competition, which draw inspiration from the Binibining Pilipinas logo and feature ethical diamonds.

The pageant celebrates six decades of championing Filipino women on the global stage, with past winners including Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray.

Forty candidates showcased their pasarela skills in identical black swimsuits during the press presentation.

BPCI also announced a donation of P1 million to World Vision Philippines as this year's charity partner, with first and second runner-up receiving P400,000 each.

The grand coronation night for Binibining Pilipinas 2024 will take place on July 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with performances by P-pop group SB19, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera.
