P7.3M worth of illegal drugs seized in multiple shipments and discoveries

At least P7.3 million worth of illegal drugs were discovered in three separate parcels at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City, according to a report by Joseph Morong on Wednesday.

One parcel declared as 'Women's T-Shirt' from the US was destined for Bacolod and contained over 468 grams of marijuana kush valued at P655,000.

Another parcel labeled as 'Collectible Camera Film Roll' from the US bound for Cebu City was found to contain 96 disposable vape cartridges filled with cannabis oil worth more than P5,000.

A third parcel from Pakistan intended for Naga, Camarines Sur contained 957 grams of shabu valued at over P6.5 million.

The Bureau of Customs handed these parcels over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for further investigation and potential charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

Additionally, two fishermen in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan discovered a bag containing more than 1 kilogram of suspected shabu worth over P1 million.

Another packet of suspected shabu was also found near Laoag, Ilocos Norte following the discovery on the shore.
