PHP2.9M worth of drugs seized in Bicol during anti-criminality ops

During a 10-day anti-criminality operation from June 17 to 27, PHP2.9 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in the Bicol Region.

Police confiscated 433.71 grams of shabu and 31.55 grams of marijuana, along with six firearms, four vehicles, and three gadgets from 63 arrested suspects during the operations.

Sixty-two cases have been filed to ensure legal consequences for the suspects.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 5 remains committed to eradicating illegal drugs by bringing offenders to justice and curbing related crimes.

To strengthen community relations, PRO5 is conducting dialogues, distributing informational materials, and sharing safety tips on social media.

These initiatives aim to enhance public awareness of safety measures and foster better engagement between the police and the community.
