BI arrests 3 foreign nationals for online gambling

On Valentine's Day, immigration agents arrested three foreign nationals involved in illegal online gambling activities.

The arrests were made following a report from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) in Barangay Milagrosa, Calamba, Laguna, as part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s administration's intensified efforts to crack down on unlawful activities by foreign nationals.

Two suspects held tourist visas and failed to present valid documentation, while the third had a working visa for a company based in Makati City.

BI intelligence division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. stated that the BI is committed to enhancing border security and cracking down on foreign nationals who misuse their visas.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).

All three suspects are now at PAOCC's facility in Pasay City, awaiting deportation proceedings.
