Wesley Guo remains in Indonesia; sister Sheila due back in Philippines

Wesley Guo, brother of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, remains in Indonesia despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

Alice Guo is still in Batam, Indonesia and has not attempted to leave the country, according to Bureau of Immigration (BI) spokesperson Dana Sandoval.

Indonesian authorities arrested Cassandra Li Ong and Sheila Guo, sister of Alice Guo, who are expected to be brought back to the Philippines on Thursday afternoon.

Philippine immigration officials are coordinating with Indonesian counterparts for further updates on Wesley Guo's whereabouts and the movements of Alice Guo.

The Senate and House have coordinated with Manila International Airport Authority for arrest orders against Sheila Guo and custody of Cassandra Li Ong.

Authorities continue to investigate the possible route taken by Guo’s group, which may have involved illegal means through Sabah, Malaysia.
