BCPO arrests three, seizes 4.6 kg shabu worth PHP31.28M

Anti-drug agents from the Bacolod City Police Office arrested three individuals and seized 4.6 kilograms of shabu worth PHP31.28 million during separate buy-bust operations on Sunday.

At 2:15 a.m., alias 'Jom' or 'Drake' was apprehended for selling PHP8,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer at a residence in Country Homes Subdivision and surrendered about 2.5 kilograms of shabu valued at PHP17 million.

Around 3:21 p.m., alias 'Cherry,' 41, from Jaro, Iloilo City, was arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 after dealing with a poseur-buyer inside a room at Jade Court 2 motel in Barangay Singcang-Airport and resulted in the recovery of 1.1 kilograms of shabu valued at PHP7.48 million.

Later at 3:52 a.m., alias 'Robert' was arrested by Police Station 2 operatives in Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2 and seized a kilogram of shabu worth PHP6.8 million.

BCPO Director Col. Joeresty Coronica stated that the suspects were under surveillance for two months before the successful buy-bust operations and reminded illegal drug traders that they are taking advantage of election-related security to bring in large volumes of drugs into Bacolod City.
