Actor Baron Geisler detained for drunken disturbance in Mandaue

Actor Baron Geisler was detained in Mandaue City, Cebu on Saturday, February 22 for allegedly causing a commotion due to drunkenness.

According to Police Lt. Col. Mercy Villaro of the Mandaue City Police Office, authorities received a report around 3 a.m. that Geisler was drunk and creating disturbances.

Geisler violated Mandaue City Ordinance No. 11-2008-434 on severe intoxication after his brothers-in-law reported him to the police for throwing things in their home, leading to his arrest at 3:50 a.m. on Psalm St. in Barangay Canduman.

He was released from custody hours later after paying a P500 fine and shared a statement on Monday, February 24, clarifying that he is doing okay and seeking legal advice regarding misinformation.

Geisler expressed his frustration over irresponsible journalism, stating that the incident had been blown out of proportion by news outlets that failed to verify facts before reporting.

The actor thanked his fans for their support and assured them of his well-being, emphasizing the importance of verifying information.
