BARMM: Suspected COVID-19 cases drop 61%

The number of patients under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19 in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has decreased by 61% from 254 to 100 as of April 7.

Of these, 16 were discharged, 136 have been cleared after completing home quarantine, two died, and 100 are still awaiting results.

The region has eight confirmed cases with three fatalities and three recoveries.

More than 7,000 individuals are considered persons under monitoring (PUMs), and local government units have implemented community quarantine measures to contain the virus.

BARMM's Inter-Agency Task Force formulated a contingency plan that will be activated if 10% of the region’s population is affected by COVID-19 or if PUIs reach 4,700.
