Barbers denies abusing authority in POGO probe, calls for Roques' transparency

Harry Roque's wife, Mylah, accused Surigao del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers of abusing his authority and linking her to Lucky South 99 without evidence.

Barbers denied being abusive and dismissed Mylah’s medical certificates as unacceptable, urging both Harry and Mylah Roque to attend Quadcom hearings and be transparent about their alleged links to illegal POGOs.

The House quad committee issued a show cause order against Mylah Roque for refusing to appear in hearings related to POGOs, despite her claims of undergoing treatment in Singapore.

Barbers noted that Harry Roque's refusal to submit documentation regarding his unexplained wealth has increased lawmakers' curiosity about the sudden increase in his wealth from P125,000 in 2016 to P125 million in 2018.

Roque has gone into hiding and refused to cooperate with the POGO probe, adding to suspicion among House leaders.

Barbers clarified that it was Harry Roque who was linked to Lucky South 99 during Quadcom hearings, not Mylah Roque.
