Bagunas recovers for Sept FIVB World Champ

Bryan Bagunas, a key player for Alas Pilipinas, is recovering from an undisclosed left knee injury suffered in August while looking forward to the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship starting September 12.

Bagunas aims to return by the tournament deadline and has been named an official ambassador, expressing his determination to recover quickly for the team’s success.

The player, who led the national team to a silver medal finish in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, is motivated by upcoming promotional events with the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) leading up to September.

Despite facing strong competition from teams like Tunisia, Egypt, and Iran in Group A, Bagunas remains committed to leading his teammates and ensuring they showcase their skills during the World Championship.

Alas Pilipinas is set to kick off the tournament against world No. 24 Tunisia on September 12 at Mall of Asia Arena, followed by matches against Egypt and Iran.
