Bacolod gears up for child COVID-19 vaccinations starting Feb 14

Bacolod City is preparing for the rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11 starting February 14.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia has directed the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) and the CoVac council to prioritize minors in the city's vaccination campaign.

At least 40,000 children have already registered for the vaccine, with Dr. Chris Sorongon aiming to vaccinate around 5,000 minors during the first week.

The rollout will take place at Riverside College campus in partnership with Riverside Medical Center Inc., similar to the venue used for the 12 to 17 age group vaccination campaign.
