Palace: Gov't considering back-riding for private motorcycles

Malacañang announced that the government is considering allowing private motorcycles with back-riding, subject to health and safety protocols.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque stated that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) is examining this possibility but emphasized the need for safety measures.

The ban on motorcycle taxis like Angkas remains in place until guidelines are established by transportation agencies including DOT, DOST, DOH, MMDA, and DTI.
