Ateneo women's volleyball team ends UAAP season on positive note

Ateneo team captain Lyann de Guzman expressed pride in her team's performance during the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball campaign despite facing numerous setbacks.

The Blue Eagles secured a victory over the University of the East Lady Warriors in four sets, improving their record to five wins out of fourteen games and ending the season on a positive note.

De Guzman acknowledged high expectations for the season but noted that injuries to key players like Sobe Buena and JLo delos Santos significantly affected their performance.

Despite setbacks, de Guzman remains satisfied with her team's resilience and ability to compete despite being undermanned.

In the match against UE, rookie Jihan Chuatico led Ateneo's offense with 16 points, while veteran players like AC Miner contributed significantly.

De Guzman praised the readiness and stepping up of the rookies, highlighting their significant contributions throughout the season.
