Ateneo beats UP 3-0 in UAAP women's volleyball

Ateneo de Manila University defeated their rival University of the Philippines in three straight sets during the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Blue Eagles won with scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-15, improving to a 3-6 record while UP remains at the bottom with a 1-8 record.

Zel Tsunashima led Ateneo with 16 points as libero captain Roma Mae Doromal highlighted that their alumni's support inspired them during the match.

Doromal and Tsunashima expressed gratitude for the boost given by former players, emphasizing how it energized the team to embrace their roles under coach Sergio Veloso.

The Blue Eagles aim to secure a Final Four ticket with upcoming matches against FEU on April 4.
