Ateneo defeats UST 97-77 in UAAP

Ateneo de Manila University defeated University of Santo Tomas (UST) with a 97-77 victory in the UAAP Season 86 men's basketball tournament on Wednesday, October 18.

Chris Koon led Ateneo with 21 points and five assists, while Joseph Obasa and Kai Ballungay each scored 17 points.

UST briefly narrowed the gap late in the third quarter but could not sustain the momentum as Ateneo pulled away early in the fourth quarter with a 17-3 run.

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin praised his team's performance, noting their efficiency from the field and strong defense against UST.
