Ateneo clinches twice-to-beat bonus over UP

Ateneo Blue Eagles clinched the twice-to-beat bonus for the UAAP Season 85 by defeating University of the Philippines (UP) with a score of 75-67 on November 26.

The win puts Ateneo in a strong position to secure the top seed at the end of the elimination round, currently holding a record of 10-3 and needing only one more victory against Adamson to surpass UP's 11-3 record.

Dave Ildefonso led with 15 points and seven rebounds while Ange Kouame contributed a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds for Ateneo.

UP, despite efforts from Carl Tamayo (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Harold Alarcon (10 points, nine rebounds), fell short in their comeback attempt late in the game.
