Ateneo beats De La Salle in UAAP Esports NBA 2K opener

Ateneo de Manila University secured a 2-1 victory against De La Salle University to open the UAAP Season 87 Esports NBA 2K tournament on Tuesday at the Quantum Skyview Deck, Gateway 2 Mall in Quezon City.

Paolo Medina's Boston Celtics emerged victorious over Keagan Yap's Oklahoma City Thunder with a score of 71-64 in Game 3 after a strong comeback by the Thunder from a deficit of 32-43 to tie at 50-all.

Adamson University also started strong, defeating National University 2-1 after clinching the decisive third game with an 83-80 overtime win following Jarrel Allaga's Celtics victory over Joshua Advincula's Thunder in Game 2.

University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas dominated their respective groups, each earning clean sweeps in their series against Far Eastern University and University of the East.
