Asenso Manileño announces election slate, Lacuna seeks reelection

Asenso Manileño, Manila's leading political party led by Mayor Honey Lacuna, officially announced its slate for the May 2025 elections at a convention in San Andres Sports Complex on Friday.

Mayor Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yul Servo are running for reelection as part of the party's lineup, with Lacuna emphasizing the importance of being elected together with her running mate Servo.

The party also introduced candidates for six congressional districts and 36 city council seats, including Manny Lopez who is running in the First District and will join five other current Manila representatives seeking reelection.

Former mayor Isko Moreno confirmed his mayoral bid for Manila, which Lacuna acknowledged as a personal betrayal but did not elaborate further.

Lacuna vowed to continue programs focused on health, livelihood, infrastructure, and education if given another term.
