Arellano beats EAC 3-0 in Shakey's Super League

Arellano University defeated Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in a dominating performance, winning the match 25-17, 25-16, 25-12 in just one hour and 26 minutes during the 2024 Shakey's Super League Pre-Season Championship at Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Sunday.

Laika Tudlasan led Arellano with 10 points, while teammates Kacelyn Punzalan and Mauie Magaling contributed eight and six points respectively, highlighting their strong teamwork and communication.

Arellano's balanced offense included 43 kills and capitalized on EAC’s 25 errors to secure a quick victory. Tudlasan emphasized the team's preparation and confidence in each other during post-match interviews.

EAC struggled throughout the match, particularly in the third set where they fell behind early by a score of 15-4 and eventually lost 24-11 after a Pauline De Guzman off-the-block hit.

Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles recovered from a two-set deficit to complete a reverse sweep against San Beda University in Pool A, winning the match 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-7 late Saturday.
