Arellano's Tiratira, Sinuto lead key NCAA wins

Arellano University relied on rookie Sam Tiratira and sophomore Jan Will Sinuto to secure crucial victories against Colegio de San Juan de Letran in both the women's and men's sides of the NCAA Season 100 volleyball tournament.

Tiratira's standout performance, including 16 points from attacks and blocks, helped Arellano win a surprising 3-1 victory over Letran on the women's side, ending their two-game losing streak.

Sinuto contributed off the bench with timely hits and excellent receptions to lead the men's team to a comeback victory in a match that went 3 sets to 1.

Both Tiratira and Sinuto were named Collegiate Press Corps NCAA Players of the Week for March 20-22, presented by the Philippine Sports Commission.

Tiratira credited familiarity with Letran as a factor in Arellano's upset win on the women's side, while Sinuto highlighted his role in cheering up teammates during the match.
