Ardina, Pagdanganan tied for 38th; Japanese Iwais top Portland Classic

Dottie Ardina and Bianca Pagdanganan competed in the final round of the Standard Portland Classic golf tournament on Sunday (Monday Manila time) at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

Ardina started strong with a 32 on the front nine but finished with a five-under 67, ending up tied for 38th place overall with a total score of 281.

Pagdanganan also carded a second straight 71, finishing alongside Ardina in joint 38th position after her eagle and birdies were offset by a costly double bogey on the final hole.

Akie Iwai of Japan secured her maiden LPGA Tour title with a bogey-free round of 66, winning by four strokes over Gurleen Kaur with a total score of 264.

Chisato Iwai and Sweden's Linn Grant shared third place at 269 after rounds of 64 and 67 respectively, marking a milestone for the Iwai sisters who both won their first LPGA titles this season.
