Archdiocese of Manila calls on Filipinos to pray for upcoming papal conclave

The Apostolic Nunciature to the Philippines has called on Filipino Catholics to pray for the College of Cardinals as they prepare to select Pope Francis' successor, with the conclave set to begin on May 7.

Archbishop Charles Brown emphasized that everyone should intercede for the cardinals who will be meeting next week and making important decisions.

The Archdiocese of Manila issued Circular No. 2025-31 on Friday, calling on the faithful to pray for the College of Cardinals during the conclave starting May 7.

Filipino Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle is among those assisting the camerlengo, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, in preparing for the conclave.

Tagle and other cardinals are part of the 'Particular Congregation,' which oversees day-to-day operations of the Vatican during a papal vacancy.
