Angat Dam water level rises above minimum due to Quinta

The water level of Angat Dam increased to 198.80 meters on Tuesday morning due to Typhoon Quinta, above the dam’s minimum operating level of 180 meters.

PAGASA reported that the water level rose from 194.10 meters on Monday morning.

The National Water Resources Board aims for a water level of 212 meters in Angat Dam by year-end to ensure sufficient supply for Metro Manila in 2021.

Other dams, including Ambuklao, San Roque, Pantabangan, and Magat, also saw increases in their water levels, while Ipo, La Mesa, Binga, and Caliraya dams experienced slight decreases.
