Alex Eala exits French Open in doubles and singles

Filipina tennis player Alex Eala and her Mexican partner Renata Zarazua were defeated by Serbia's Olga Danilovic and Russia's Anastasia Potapova in the French Open women's doubles tournament on Friday evening (Manila time), marking their exit from the competition.

Eala and Zarazua lost 1-6, 3-6 despite mounting a comeback after trailing 1-2 in the first set when Danilovic and Potapova won five straight games to take an early lead.

The pair had previously defeated Britain's Emily Appleton and Spain's Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers in the first round with a score of 7-5, 6-4.

Eala also suffered an early exit from the singles competition, losing to Colombia's Emiliana Arango in the first round with scores of 0-6, 6-2, 3-6.

This loss marks the end of Eala's participation in this year's French Open.
