Alas Pilipinas beats Indonesia 3-1 in AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup

Alas Pilipinas secured a hard-fought victory over Indonesia with a score of 22-25, 25-23, 25-13, 28-26 in Pool B of the AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup on Sunday.

Alyssa Solomon led Alas Pilipinas with 17 points but left early due to an ankle sprain, highlighting the team’s resilience as they continued without her.

Angel Canino and Bella Belen stepped up with significant contributions, scoring 17 and 12 points respectively, while Shaina Nitura delivered crucial hits in the endgame.

In the deciding moments of the match, Canino scored a key point at 27-26 before Nitura sealed the victory with a decisive attack.

Alas Pilipinas improved to an unbeaten record and will face world No. 56 Iran on Monday, June 9.
