Palace welcomes WHO's Sinopharm vax EUL

The Palace welcomed the World Health Organization's (WHO) decision to grant emergency use listing (EUL) status to China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine.

This move is expected to strengthen the country's diversified vaccine portfolio and improve access to effective vaccines.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque instructed the DOH to file an EUA application for Sinopharm following WHO’s EUL approval.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the agency was processing Sinopharm’s application and waiting for pending documents before filing with the FDA.
